Last year, I had one of the most unforgettable experiences of my skiing career - my first ever World Cup start in Levi, Finland. It’s hard to describe the feeling of being there - surrounded by some of the best skiers in the world, standing in the start gate, and realizing that a dream I’ve had since I was little was actually coming true.
Levi is such a special place. We spent quite a bit of time there training before the race, which gave me a chance to really get to know the slope and the atmosphere. It’s a completely different world - the air is crisp, the snow feels unique, and it’s almost always dark outside, which makes the lights on the course shine even brighter. There’s something magical about skiing under that northern sky, where the sun barely rises but the energy never fades.
The whole experience taught me so much - from the importance of preparation to staying calm in big moments. But most of all, it reminded me why I love this sport. Competing in my first World Cup was a dream come true, and it left me more motivated than ever to keep working, improving, and chasing new goals.
